Hi! My name is Lisa Higgins.
I started making sock monkeys in 2004. It all started when my husband asked me if I could make some for him for his produce department for a display he was making. Before I knew it my little monkeys took off. Everyone I knew (friends/family) wanted me to make one for them or for someone else.

The fabrics I use to make my monkeys: Original Red Heels Socks, 100% plain white cotton socks, or any sock I think would make a cute monkey. All my clothing is designed and created my me. I dont use any patterens of any kind. For the stuffing I use poly fiberfill. Special caution is taken when I make a monkey for an infant or child under the age of 5. All eyes are sewn and clued, I double stitch the arms, tail and mouth so they dont come apart.

Each monkey is made to order, and are priced according to how much work is involved in creating exactly what you are wanting. They are priced between $15.00 up to $50.00 plus shipping and handling.
